What We Collect

SpendDown collects minimal data. We do not use cookies for tracking, do not run third-party tracking scripts, and do not sell personal data.

• Email address — only if you sign up for deadline reminders (voluntary)
• Account type and deadline — FSA/HSA type and deadline selection, if provided during signup
• Remaining balance — only if entered into the balance tool (not linked to identity unless you also provide email)
• Analytics data — page views and custom events via Plausible Analytics, which is privacy-respecting and does not use cookies or collect personal data

What We Don't Collect

• FSA/HSA account credentials or financial account information
• Social Security numbers or tax information
• Payment information (all purchases happen on merchant sites)
• Browsing history beyond our site

How We Use Your Data

• Email — to send deadline reminders and product recommendations you opted into
• Balance data — to generate personalized product bundles and improve our recommendation algorithm
• Analytics — to understand which content is useful and improve the site

Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare — hosting and CDN (processes requests but does not store personal data for our use)
• Plausible Analytics — privacy-respecting analytics, no cookies, no personal data collection, GDPR/CCPA compliant
• Resend — email delivery for deadline reminders

Your Rights

You can:

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email
• Request deletion of your email and associated data by contacting us
• Access your data — request a copy of any data we hold about you
