Affiliate Disclosure

SpendDown is free for users. We make money through affiliate relationships with retailers and product brands.

When you click a product link on our site and make a purchase on the merchant's website, we may earn a small referral commission at no additional cost to you. This is how we fund the research, verification, and maintenance of our eligibility database.

How This Affects Our Recommendations

Eligibility classifications are never influenced by affiliate relationships. Our eligibility determinations are based solely on SIGIS criteria, IRS Publication 502, and merchant verification data. A product's affiliate commission rate has no bearing on whether it appears as "eligible" or "not eligible."

Product placement in category pages and the balance spend-down tool is determined by category relevance, confidence score, and price fit — not by commission rates.

Our Affiliate Partners

We currently partner with the following merchants. This list will be updated as new partnerships are established.

  • Amazon — through the Amazon Associates Program (pending approval)
  • FSA Store — direct product links (affiliate partnership pending)

FTC Compliance

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), all affiliate links on this site include the rel="sponsored" attribute. Product links that may generate a referral commission are marked accordingly.
